Let’s go more inside to the Epson XP 15000, 15010, 15080 products. This section will show how to disengage some small parts/units of Epson XP 15000 15010 15080 and the pictures for details about the name of the part and disassembly it.

1.Epson XP-15000,15010,15080 Removing the Pickup Assy

Please sleazy while interact to bottom parts of the Epson XP 15000,15010,15080, cause it a little small and lighty like: Pickup Release Shaft, Driven Shaft, Lever Shaft,…

1.  Disengage the levers on the Pickup Release Shaft and Pickup Lever Shaft from Pickup Assy.
2.  Remove the Pickup Assy from the Pickup Driven Shaft.

2.Epson XP-15000,15010,15080 Removing the PS Assy

These 4 steps have been done from one of my last post. Click here to see the details

• 1. Remove the Housing Front Right.
• 2. Remove the Housing Front Upper.
• 3. Remove the Housing Right Assy.
• 4. Remove the Housing Left Assy.
• 5. Remove the two screws and remove the AC Inlet Cover.
• 6. Release the AC Inlet Cable from the hooks.
  • Look to picture, AC Inlet Cable and AC Inlet Cover showed beside the hook point for you guys. Let’s check it out!

• 7. Remove the two screws and remove the PS Shield Plate.
• 8. Remove the screw securing the PS Assy.
• 9. Disconnect the PS Assy Cable from the connector on the PS Assy to remove the PS Assy

3.Epson XP-15000,15010,15080 Removing the Panel Assy

Im below picture, some part of the product can be identify like Panel Holder Left, Panel FFC and Panel Assy which showed for easy disassembly

1.  Remove the Housing Front Right.
2.  Remove the Housing Front Upper.
3.  Remove the Housing Left Assy.
4.  Remove the Housing Front Left.
5.  Disconnect the Panel FFC from the connector on the Main Board.
6.  Remove the screw and remove the Panel Holder Left.
7.  Remove the Panel Assy.

4.Epson XP-15000,15010,15080 Removing the PW Sensor

• 1. Remove the Printhead. (Following this post for more detail pictures)
  • NOTE: Be careful not to lose the washer that will be removed in the next step. 
• 2. Remove the screw and remove the Head Ground Plate and the washer.
• 3. Disconnect the two FFCs from the connectors on the PW Sensor to remove the PW Sensor.
  • Around the board has some parts like: CR Assy, FFC and on the board contains PW Sensor, Dowel, Head Ground Plate and Washer.
  • When disassembly/reassembly, you need to easy and take a breath if you don’t wanna make it go worse.

• • Align the positioning hole on PW Sensor and Head Ground Plate with the dowel on the CR Assy.
  • When installing the Head Ground Plate, be careful to its orientation. (see the above picture)

5.Epson XP-15000,15010,15080 Removing the PE Sensor

1.  Remove the Main Frame Assy. (guide in the end of the post)
2.  Remove the screw and remove the PE Sensor Holder, PE Sensor, PE Sensor Sheet together.

• Be careful not to forget attaching the PE Sensor Sheet.

• Paste the FFC along the edge of the Main Frame.

6.Epson XP-15000,15010,15080 Removing the Paper Guide Upper

The Paper Guide Upper described in this section consists of the parts listed below, contain:

• Paper Guide Upper Center Left Assy
• Paper Guide Upper Center Right Assy
• Paper Guide Upper Left Assy
• Paper Guide Upper Outer Left Assy
• Paper Guide Upper Outer Right Assy
• Paper Guide Upper Right Assy

And the step to disassemble the Paper Guide on Epson XP 15000 15010 15080:

1. Remove the ASF Rear Assy. (from this post)
2. Remove the ten Extension Springs.
3. Remove the Paper Guide Upper toward the rear side

Tension of the Extension spring differs by the color. Make sure to attach the extension springs in the correct position. (see above Figure)

7.Epson XP-15000,15010,15080 Removing the Star Wheel Holder Assy

1. Remove the Main Frame Assy.
2. Remove the two screws and remove the Star Wheel Holder Support Plate (x2).
3. Remove the two torsion springs at both ends on the Star Wheel Holder Assy and remove the Star Wheel Holder Assy.

• NOTE:
  • Attach the Torsion spring (x2) as shown in above Figure.
  • After attaching the Star Wheel Holder Assy, make sure that it moves up and down smoothly.

8.Epson XP-15000,15010,15080 Removing the Paper Guide Front Assy

• 1. Remove the Main Frame Assy.
• 2. Remove the screw to remove the Electrode Plate Cable (red).
• 3. Remove the four screws and remove the four spacer.
  • Be careful not to lose the two types of spacers on both top and bottom (one each) of the Paper Guide Front Assy and the compression spring on the bottom of the Paper Guide Front Assy. (see below Figure)

• • When securing the Paper Guide Front Assy, screw it with the compression spring and two types of spacers (one each) together as shown below at the four screwing points.
• 4. And finally, Remove the Paper Guide Front Assy.

9.Epson XP-15000,15010,15080 Removing the PGF Lower Porous Pads

PGF Lower Porous Pads described on above figure, consist of these parts:

• PGF Lower Porous Pad Left Rear 1st
• PGF Lower Porous Pad Left Rear 2nd
• PGF Lower Porous Pad Left
• PGF Lower Left Porous Pad
• PGF Lower Right Porous Pad
• PGF Lower Porous Pad Right Upper
• PGF Lower Porous Pad Right Lower
• Frame Base Cover Lower Porous Pad

Process to remove the Epson XP-15000,15010, 15080 PGF Lower Porous Pads:

1.  Remove the Main Frame Assy.
2.  Remove the Star Wheel Holder Assy.
3.  Remove the Paper Guide Front Assy.
4.  Remove the Paper Guide Rear.
5.  Remove the Frame Base Cover.
6.  Remove all the PGF Lower Porous Pads.

After securing the Frame Base Cover, make sure there is no gap between the Frame Base Cover and the PGF Lower Porous Pads.

10.Epson XP-15000,15010,15080 Removing the Main Frame Assy

• 1. Remove the Printhead.
• 2. Disconnect the cable/FFCs listed below from the connectors on the Main Board.
  • Head FFC Assy
  • CR Encoder FFC
  • CR Motor Cable
  • PE Sensor FFC
• 3. Remove the Sub Board.
• 4. Remove the screw to remove the Main Frame Grounding Wire.
• 5. Remove the Paper Guide Upper.

• 6. Release the cables from the five hooks on the rear side of the Main Frame Assy.
• 7. Remove the four screws securing the Main Frame Assy.
• 8. Remove the screw securing the APG Gear Assy and Main Frame Assy.

9. Remove the Main Frame Assy while tilting it as shown below.

That’s all done for removing the others Parts/Units of Epson XP-15000,15010,15080 printer machines.
